Saul Cosme is a Mexican guitarist, composer and music educator. He was born in Mexico City and has been based in New York since 2014. In Mexico, he studied at Lafaro Jazz Institute where he played and learned from some of the best jazz musicians in Mexico such as Agustín Bernal, Hector Rodriguez, Gabriel Puentes, Roberto Verástegui.

Saul moved to New York to study Jazz Music at Purchase College where he received the Joe Williams Scholarship and studied with the legendary musician John Abercrombie and Vic Juris. In New York, he has played in some of the most important jazz clubs including Blue Note, Birdland and Dizzy’s Club at Lincoln Center, among others.

Saul has written music for Nimbus Dance Company based in New Jersey and Claire Kendall’s Dance Company based in Colorado as proof of his love for different art forms. In 2019, he released his project Saul Cosme Quintet that combines his Mexican roots with the Jazz tradition and Latin music - a result of living in New York and Mexico City, two of the most active cities in the world. Live in New York, his first recording, was released in 2019.
