Founded in 2014, The Flatirons Jazz Orchestra is a traditional eighteen-piece big band that includes jazz singer, Deborah Stafford. They authentically recreate the great Swing Era music of Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman, Count Basie, Glenn Miller, Stan Kenton, Gene Krupa, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Diane Schuur, Buddy Rich and more.

Rated "One of the 10 Best Jazz Bands in Denver", by CBS Local and ReverbNation, Flatirons Jazz Orchestra is a regular feature at all of the major dance venues along the Front Range, including: the Avalon Ballroom, Aviation Club, Buffalo Rose, Caribou Room, Dazzle Jazz, Denver Turnverein, Dickens Opera House and the Mercury Café. They also play weddings, festivals, fundraisers and corporate events. FJO has also been featured at the Keystone Wine and Jazz Festival, Longmont Jazz Festival, Boulder JazzFest, Taste of Denver, Estes Park Big Band Bash, the Capitol Hill People’s Fair, and on Blues Roots Denver TV.
