Bob Schlesinger

Bob Schlesinger is a pianist and composer whose work covers jazz, blues, R&B and classical styles. He performs with his jazz trio and is co-leader of the funk/jazz group, Purple Squirrel.

In his dozen years with singer Hazel Miller he has opened for James Brown and Earth, Wind and Fire, performed at the Telluride Blues Festival, Winter Park Jazz Festival, Jazz Aspen, and with the Longmont Symphony Orchestra.

Bob is an in-demand accompanist for singers. He also writes soundtracks for films, video, commercials and theater. For two seasons he was the composer at the Community College of Denver Theater. Bob teaches piano and composition privately and has been a guest lecturer at University of Colorado and Arapahoe Community College. He has a B.M. in music theory and composition, and an M.B.A., both from the University of Colorado.
